Development of a gender sensible small biogas plants

  The “F-M Small Biogas” Project develops gender democratic renewable energy solutions. The project will contribute to providing women with ready access to the biogas plant issue in its entirety.
The project is to pursue technological objectives, which each have an experimental focus on the area of quality assurance, but also offer considerable potential for broader application as well as comprising a social objective:

1) The creation of a gender-specific product development tool (QFD)
2) The planning of an innovative and gender democratic small biogas plant
3) A gender-specific needs analysis for small biogas plant in pub breweries and in agriculture
4) The aim is to direct attention specifically to gender aspects in the areas of energy research and energy supply.

ELAS – Energetic Long Term Analysis of Settlement Structures

  Settlements often cause high energy consumption, especially by infrastructure maintenance and induced traffic. As energy prices will increase, it is worth to take the energy related costs of a settlement in account. Cement industry - regional effects add on to sustainability

  STUDIA has studied the effects of the Austrian cement industry on the regional economy. The study, which started 2008, is now finished. In April, we presented the results at the association's annual meeting in Vienna. The study has also been presented to various cement production enterprises. The study captures interesting aspects of the industry's sustainability: the effects on sales, employment and value added, all on a regional basis.
