Clara Leutgeb is a biologist who investigates the relationship between biodiversity and agriculture, and the ecological and economic impacts of organic farming practices. She also studies the effects of restored and restorable river landscapes on adjacent agricultural land. She is also investigating what regional adaptation measures are required to enable rural areas to respond profitably to changing conditions, and how the various stakeholder groups can be successfully engaged.
She studied zoology and Cognition, Behavior and Neurobiology at the University of Vienna, and English and American Studies at the University of Graz. She initially worked as a research project assistant at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Institute of Zoology) in Vienna. From 2018 to 2025, she worked in protected area management for the Nature Conservation Department of the Federal State of Salzburg. In July 2026, she joined the STUDIA Austria team as a project assistant.
